Live a Focused, Rational, Enlightened, Empowered and Determined (FREED) Life

About FREED Life Counseling

Helping therapists and other care providers with ongoing support and counseling.

I’m Lia Francisco, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with almost 20 years of experience.  My background is in domestic abuse, sexual violence survivors and addiction.  Along the way, I have counseled at risk youth, families experiencing trauma, and families involved in foster care/preventive/protective services.

My current mission is counseling and teaching fellow advocates (such as therapists, first responders, caregivers, etc.) who feel the burden of working in traumatizing settings and/or with traumatized individuals.  We can overcome this trauma through continuous transformation of the mind, focusing on rational thoughts, beliefs and behaviors.  Through enlightenment, empowerment, determination and hope.

Let me help you learn, practice and, in turn, better help others to live a focused, rational, enlightened, empowered and determined (FREED) life.

I believe that everyone can live a focused, rational, enlightened, empowered and determined (FREED) life! I want to help you on your journey of healing and becoming FREED.

Sometimes the Counselor needs Counseling

I provide client-centered, individual and family counseling using a variety of therapeutic models including cognitive behavioral therapy, rational emotive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and narrative therapy to promote continuous growth and healing.

Many professional advocates and interventionists have experienced trauma. I can help you to work through yours.  Let’s talk and see how I can help you.

I provide consultation to therapists, first responders, and care givers.  Additionally, I supervise Licensed Master Social Workers and Master of Social Worker students.

Certain professional services can be emotionally trying and difficult. You could benefit from in depth, one-on-one teaching of how to build rapport, establish professional relationships, focus on mind and body healing, and move past fears that arise when treating trauma.

I educate groups of people and cover a variety of topics.  Including addiction, health and wellness, recovery, trauma, reaching full potential, and shame.
